Cheesy Broccoli Fritters

These Cheesy Broccoli Fritters are seasoned with Spanglish Asadero's Savory Surf & Turf. Perfectly crispy and deliciously cheesy!

Ingredients

For the Fritters

  • 1 large head of broccoli thick stems cut off
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarela
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp Spanglish Asadero Savory Surf & Turf

For frying

  • 3 tbsp avocado oil

For the Aioli

Instructions

  • Prep broccoli by cutting of the steam and then cutting off the smaller thick stems.
  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Once lightly boiling, add broccoli and blanch for 2 minutes.
  • Remove broccoli from pot and set aside to cool.
  • Mix the ingredients for the aioli and set aside in the fridge.
  • Once the broccoli is cool, chop it and place into a bowl.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients EXCEPT the avocado oil. Combine well.
  • In a large preheated non-stick skillet, over medium heat, add the oil.
  • With a spoon, add dollops of the fritter mixture to the skillet and lightly flatten with the spoon or with a spatula.
  • Fry for 2 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Once done, place fritters on a paper towel lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • Serve with aioli and enjoy!
