Ingredients

  • 12 chicken wings, cut in 3 pieces tip tossed, renders 24 pieces
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder

For the glaze

  • 1/2 cup butter I used Land O'Lakes sticks
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • chopped parsley or basil for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400° degrees.
  • In a large bowl, season wings with oil, Italian seasoning, sea salt and garlic powder.
  • Place the wings on a parchment or non-stick aluminum foil lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes. Turn over and bake for another 15 minutes.
Note: oven temperatures vary. It could take longer or less time to cook through.
  • While the wings are in the final stage of cooking, make the glaze.
  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic, Italian seasoning, and honey. Stir well and allow to cook for a couple of minutes until well integrated.
  • Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and set the oven on a high broil.
  • Brush the wings with the glaze and broil for about two minutes or until they are golden.
  • Top with chopped parsley or basil and enjoy!

Notes

Can you air fry the chicken wings instead of baking?
Yes, you can. Follow the directions for airfrying the amount of wings you are cooking. Make sure to have a liner to catch drippings and also to catch some of the glaze you will brush on at the end. After you brush the wings, you can air fry for a few more minutes to get that golden color.
